“Three Girls in Blue” at Lenkom Theatre
The play for staging Mark Zakharov ordered from the playwright Lyudmila Petrushevskaya. She had to write it for Inna Churikova and Tatiana Pelttser, who recently came to Lenkom from Satire Theatre. Both actresses initially were lukewarm about it. But then “Three Girls in Blue” became for them one of the favorite plays. From 1982 to 1985, it was banned (officials did not like the image of unpleasant Soviet reality on stage), and was on only about every six months for special committees.
