Valentina Sperantova died
All her life she worked for youth theatres: first for State Youth Theatre, then for Central Children's Theatre. In her youth, she played parts of boys. Bernard Shaw, who came to Moscow and visited the premiere of the play "Tom Canty" in 1938, watched Sperantova and thought that it was a young actor who played the title role. Also he was amazed to learn that it was not a boy talking to him, but a lady who had already had a child. At the end of her life, Sperantova changed her role specialization to parts of grandmothers of main characters.
