Critic changes profession
At the Higher School of Performing Arts, a fundamentally new faculty of Theatre Studies and Dramaturgy has opened under the supervision of theatre critic Pavel Rudnev and playwright Mikhail Durnenkov. Its graduates can find themselves in a wide variety of professions (or rather, combining them) – theatre critic, theatre expert, stage designer, playwright, entranced, director or curator of various theatre projects. “We would like the theatre critics and journalist skills to be combined in a single course on Theatre Studies and Drama”; theatre experts with scientific interests; playwrights with the desire to write for the contemporary stage; the future heads of theatre literature departments responsible for professional communication with playwrights; theatre experts with project thinking” claim the authors of the new educational program.
