Theatre Studies and Practice
Headed by Dmitry Trubotchkin, a Doctor of Art Studies and Head of Chair of Art Studies and Humanities at the Theatre School of Konstantin Raikin, Moscow. A target of the new course is to educate a person of theatre in a broad sense - a specialist who would be well-informed about theatre history, contemporary art, and a process of mounting theatre production. In addition, to bring up a generator of theatre ideas to be represented in articles and new theatre projects. Graduates of such a School can choose any field of activity - to become a curator, a producer, a manager, an author of a theatre laboratory or a participant in a live theatrical process. The School program will be the first one to dismantle a stereotype of the critic as a failed actor: students will undergo numerous courses and training in acting and plastique in order to learn subtleties of the profession first hand. Special attention will be paid to psychology and theatre pedagogics - a promising subject, which is at the beginning of its development.
